Fuji Speedway is located in Oyama, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, in the shadow of Mount Fuji. It hosted the first Formula One races held in Japan, in 1976 and 1977, then returned to the calendar for 2007 and 2008. The 1976 Japanese Grand Prix, run in torrential rain, decided that year's championship between James Hunt and Niki Lauda.
