Sebring International Raceway, built on the site of a former World War II airfield in Sebring, Florida, hosted the first World Championship United States Grand Prix in 1959, won by a young Bruce McLaren. Its concrete-and-asphalt runway surface made for a notoriously bumpy track, and it remains best known today as the home of the 12 Hours of Sebring.
