Turn 1: Turn 1 The first of the tightening, decreasing-radius right-handers that open the lap, taken around 185 km/h and going blind toward its middle; Lewis Hamilton passed Valtteri Bottas here on his way to victory in the 1000th World Championship race in 2019.
Turn 2: Turn 2 The continuation of the decreasing-radius right-hander, forming the first two corners of the opening snail complex (Turns 1 to 4).
Turn 3: Turn 3 A simple left-hand hairpin, the dart out of the opening spiral, taken around 105 km/h.
Turn 4: Turn 4 The corner completing the opening snail; a multi-car collision involving Kvyat, Sainz and Norris happened here in 2019.
Turn 5: Turn 5 A connecting corner between the opening snail and the Turn 6 hairpin.
Turn 6: Turn 6 A second-gear right-hand hairpin that Formula 1 calls the track's other best passing spot; Kevin Magnussen spun Yuki Tsunoda out here in 2024, and Felipe Massa spun here in 2016 practice.
Turn 7: Turn 7 The first half of a high-speed chicane sustaining around 3G at a minimum speed near 160 km/h.
Turn 8: Turn 8 The corner completing the high-speed Turns 7 to 8 chicane.
Turn 9: Turn 9 The first of two slow left-handers demanding a strong exit.
Turn 10: Turn 10 The second of the paired slow left-handers.
Turn 11: Turn 11 The first half of a slow left-right chicane and the start of the second snail (Turns 11 to 13); Hamilton spun here twice with brake trouble in 2016 practice, and Bottas's engine failed here in 2024.
Turn 12: Turn 12 The corner completing the Turns 11 to 12 chicane, part of the second snail.
Turn 13: Turn 13 A very long right-hander that opens progressively onto the roughly 1.2 km back straight, so its exit is decisive; Daniel Ricciardo's tyre failed on the straight after it in 2016.
Turn 14: Turn 14 The tight hairpin at the end of the back straight and the prime overtaking spot under heavy braking; a safety-car restart pile-up involving Stroll, Ricciardo and Piastri happened here in 2024.
Turn 15: Turn 15 The exit of the hairpin, which Formula 1 describes together with Turn 14 as the Turn 14-15 hairpin overlooked by Grandstand K.
Turn 16: Turn 16 The final fourth-gear left-hander, needing only a quick tap on the brakes, where carrying speed onto the straight matters more than a sharp apex.
